Spread The Shred

It’s been  months since there has been a posting and it has taken me close to 3 weeks to figure out how to log back on this website to post anything.  Summer has been great but its finally coming to a close.  Soon I will be able to think about snowboarding while shoveling snow off my driveway instead of thinking about snowboarding while tubing down the Spokane River.

Huge thanks to all the sponsors of Spread the Shred, the film companies who let us show their films and most importantly all the people who showed up.  We counted over 200 attendees and gave out hundreds of high fives (along with tons of schwag).

Zachary and I (this is Martin writing fyi) have been working on organizing Spread the Shred 2010.  We have some details figured out and we still have lots of figuring out to do.  We do know that we are partnering with SOS Outreach in an effort to give more back to the community.  With SOS Outreach we will be able to contribute money toward sending some underprivileged children from Spokane to learn how to snowboard! Awesome huh?

Thats about all we have locked down so far.  Oh and through hours and hours of watching trailers such as the one below we have selected the 2 films we will be showing.

I don’t know what else to put in here.. oh well.  Just know that Spread The Shred 2010 is coming to Spokane to knock your teeth out with shred awesomeness.  And we will be posting things here and on our facebook page which you should ‘like’ because it’s easier for us to put updates out on facebook than this website… I cant even figure out how to remove that annoying google text at the top of the web page  X[

Check out some awesome pictures we got.  Thanks to Andrew, Colton and Mike for shreddin with us and helping us set up this features.  Thanks to Mt Spokane too for having snow   I made captions for all the pictures but then it didnt save them all… whatever   If you keep clicking the picture you want to see you will eventually make it to a higher res photo.  Anyways, even though we couldn’t snowboard in the sweet terrain park they had because of the USASA slopestyle event we still had an awesome time!  Spread The Shred!

We made it! We finally made it on the internet!  Big Day!!  Lots of wrestling with godaddy and wordpress to get this rigged up.  This is really basic but we wanted to get information up for everyone to look at.  We have more information on facebook.com right now so go look there if you can.  Just search for Spread The Shred in your little search bar dealio

Spread The Shred is a snowboard premier happening in Spokane on Thursday January 14th at the Garland Theatre.  We are trying to raise awareness of snowboarding locally and just get people stoked on being outside in the snow having fun.  We lined up 2 local movies, Cool Story by Think Thank and How The Northwest Was One by Wildcard Productions.  The sponsor lineup is are all local shops and local mountains.  Some prizes that we will be giving away include 2 Cat Skiing Trips, lift tickets and a couple of seasons passes!!  Besides the raffle we will also be throwing out tons of swag to the audience!

We are spreading word of this event shredder by shredder so be sure to tell all your friends to tell their friends!
